Royal Mail Announce April 2009 Price Hike

Here in sunny, recession burdened, Great Britain the Royal Mail have just announced their annual price increases. As if we didn't have enough to deal with.
As usual the increases fall most heavily on small parcels and letters where there's the least competition. The only good news I can see is that airmail stays the same. Otherwise the rise varies from 10 to 15%.
I managed to absorb the Royal Mail's 2008 price hike but I'm not going to be in a position to do the same this year.
So here's plenty of advance warning that all postage rates will increase at the end of March. Details to follow in due course.
Posting Orders Over The Christmas Holidays

All orders received after 12:00 noon today will be held and will not be posted until Monday, 05 January 2009 when normal service will resume.
The last posting dates are now long gone. On the plus side the delay will allow the Royal Mail time to reduce the holiday backlog and decrease the chance of parcels going missing.
